Resilient in the Pandemic : The fighting spirit of the Filipino's
Filipinos are known for being
resilient, like how they can overcome storms and any obstacle that has come
along their lives. They continue to be all smiles despite losing lives and
properties, knowing that it’ll take some time again to be able to recover. With
the rising cases of COVID-19 and the Philippines being the only country that
hasn’t opened schools, it looks like the resiliency in Filipinos are slowly
fading. Each day it becomes harder to live, not knowing whether this will be
surpassed or if it will be the “new normal” that they call it. Filipinos are
losing hope, and this is new to many because Filipinos don’t lose hope that
easily.
COVID-19 Pandemic cases have been
rising and the Philippines has been going from one type of lockdown to another.
Almost every after two weeks, numerous types of lockdowns are being given to
the different places in the Philippines and people thinks that these lockdowns
are not helping because those cases are still increasing, another problem with
these lockdowns is that a lot of Filipinos’ incomes come from their businesses
and whenever these lockdowns are implemented, people’s hope for better days
lessens each day. The fact that the government isn’t doing anything to help the
people and that these “ayuda” they give isn’t enough to feed the people during
these lockdowns. But despite these unfortunate events, many of the Filipinos
are still willing to give and to help in ways they can. During the typhoon that
struck Cagayan Valley, a lot of donations from LGUs and Filipino citizens
created donation drives as well as gathered cash donations that they can send
to the people of Cagayan Valley. Another one is during the Taal Eruption. The
same thing happened, donation and cash drives were given to people. Despite all
the unfortunate series of events, Filipinos are living in this new normal as if
nothing that changed their lives happened. Life goes on for them and it
continues even after losing lives and properties because after all, Filipinos
are known for their resiliency. Despite knowing that there is a pandemic that’s
causing so many lives to be taken away, they do not forget to help and give as
much as they can to those who are in need. It’s as if they didn’t lose anything
because of how they help. Filipinos know how to bounce back easily and they
know how to adjust to this new normal. Life will never be fair and many have
changed, yet Filipinos remain to be hospitable and resilient especially to
their kind.
COVID-19 Pandemic and other unfortunate
events have happened not only in other countries but also in the Philippines,
it has cause lives and properties, yet Filipinos remain to be the resilient
people that they are known for. They live their lives as if they never lost
anything, they help their fellow despite not having much. It is indeed more fun
in the Philippines, not because of the places or food but because of its
people. How they bounce back after one circumstance to another is something to
be proud of. Filipinos' resiliency will never compare to anyone and that is why
it’s more fun in the Philippines.

Hi Jayson!! I really like the structure and content of this blog. The message is clear and on point, there are also no mistakes in its grammar. Although the Philippines has a bad government and corrupt officials, its citizens are the complete opposite of it. They are like a bamboo tree, no matter how strong the wind is, they will still stand up again despite the damage they have taken. It is a unique trait that we, the Filipinos must be proud of.
