ICT is useful and helpful. It's an application of modern technology to interact and share information among people in all fields and develop science through technology. As one of the ICT functions is to help people develop education, it is good for educators and managers to develop their knowledge and transfer it to people. Moreover, through ICT, the work in the job field can be done more effectively. While access to computers and the internet were important to education before the pandemic—as tools for word processing, research, and communication after school hours, or even as the primary means of schooling—they became essential tools for students to remain engaged during the 2020–21 academic year up to this year.
The pandemic made a great impact not only on our economy but also on our education. It is a great challenge for teachers and students to get accustomed to the new normal of education, modular distance learning. Even in our situation, we must always be thankful that education is still going on. This grading added another great knowledge, experience, and improvement not only in my learning but also as a person.
Not only did I discover facts about the social world, but I also discovered things about myself. I found out the real reasons why I use and why I don’t use certain social networking sites. In this process of self-discovery, I have concluded that being an empowered digital citizen is all about being knowledgeable and responsible about what you post on social media networks. A person should always think twice before posting something because this post might offend someone. We should always consider that the internet wasn’t made to be a way to make other people feel bad about themselves. It is supposed to be used for communicating and connecting with others.
Aside from the use in learning, for some, technology became a way to stay in touch with others they could not visit in person since the pandemic began.
